Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to real-time modification of end-of-charge voltage and current for electric vehicles and related control. A charging system for an electric vehicle includes: a memory configured to store a combined pair of a terminal clamp voltage (CV) and an off current (CC); a charging socket configured to be connected to an off-board charging station; and a vehicle-mounted charging circuit. The on-board charging circuit includes: a high voltage direct current bus connected to the rechargeable energy storage system; and a control module configured to communicate with the non-vehicle-mounted charging station, determine the charging capabilities of the non-vehicle-mounted charging station and the vehicle-mounted charging circuit, and select one of the CV and CC combined pairs based on the charging capabilities of the non-vehicle-mounted charging station and the vehicle-mounted charging circuit, and initiating charging of the rechargeable energy storage system based on a selected one of the CV and CC comb
