The acidic gas remover comprises one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of hydroxyl group-containing compounds and derivatives of the hydroxyl group-containing compounds and having a number average molecular weight of 500 or more. 本发明提供在除去气体中的二氧化碳时即便在水共存下二氧化碳吸收量的变动也小的酸性气体去除剂、酸性气体去除方法、具备酸性气体去除剂的吸收装置和酸性气体清洗装置。本发明使用含有数均分子量为500以上的选自含羟基化合物和上述含羟基化合物的衍生物中的1种以上的酸性气体去除剂。
