The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly, adding a magnesium source and an aluminum source into a mixed solution of water and an organic solvent, introducing a beta-diketone ligand for coordination to prepare magnesium-aluminum coordination polymer precursor powder, then taking the magnesium-aluminum coordination polymer precursor as a raw material, adding a spinning aid to obtain a precursor spinning solution, and carrying out electrostatic spinning and heat treatment to obtain the magnesium-aluminum spinel fiber.
