The battery system comprises a master controller, a plurality of battery clusters and a plurality of electronic current limiters, wherein the battery clusters and the corresponding electronic current limiters are connected in series and then are connected to an inverter; the electronic current limiter comprises a control unit, a first adjustable resistor and a second adjustable resistor, and the first adjustable resistor is connected with the second adjustable resistor and used for adjusting the charging current of the battery cluster connected with the electronic current limiter in the charging process of the battery system.
