METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INSPECTING A MOBILE DEVICE

An inspection apparatus and method for a device having one or more moving parts is provided. The inspection apparatus includes an illumination module having an LED array including a plurality of LEDs and a confocal lens array including a corresponding plurality of total internal reflection (TIR) lenses, each total internal reflection lens configured to receive light from one of the LEDs and output collimated light, the collimated light being directed at a fixed illumination point in a path of a moving part.
