Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to the technical field of motor home air conditioners, and provides a motor home air conditioner and a control method thereof.The motor home air conditioner comprises an outdoor unit, a guide plate, a first induction part, a second induction part and a power part; the outdoor unit is provided with an air inlet, and the guide plate is arranged at the air inlet. The first induction part is connected to the outdoor unit and located on the edge of the air inlet, and the second induction part is arranged on the edge of the guide plate. The power part is connected to the guide plate through the transmission assembly and drives the guide plate to be switched between the initial position and the closing position. At the initial position, the guide plate avoids the air inlet; and at the closing position, the guide plate completely shields the air inlet, and the first sensing part and the second sensing part are matched to form a sensing signal for detecting foreign matters at the air inlet.
