The present invention relates to a composition comprising (i) cesium iodide, (ii) ethylamine and/or formic acid and (iii) methanol and/or water. The invention further relates to a method for calibrating a mass spectrometry (MS) device, the method comprising: (I) determining a mass spectrum of a composition as specified; and (II) calibrating the MS device based on the mass spectrum determined in step (I).
