Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to certain biodegradable and/or compostable bio-based particulate compositions for use in additive manufacturing, such as those comprising polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) powders, where the particulate compositions and/or PHA powders have (a) a free bulk density of greater than 0.30 g/mL as determined by ASTM D1895-96, and (b) a sinterability region of greater than 15 degrees Celsius. The invention also relates to certain methods of making such biodegradable and/or compostable bio-based particulate compositions useful as powdered build materials for additive manufacturing processes. In addition, the present invention relates to additive manufacturing processes utilizing the biodegradable and/or compostable bio-based particulate compositions as described elsewhere, and articles printed therefrom.
