The invention provides a digital object metadata interoperation method and device for a heterogeneous registry, equipment and a medium, and the method comprises the steps: registering digital object metadata to a digital object registry system according to a digital object metadata mode which represents metadata elements and constraint rules; determining a mapping relationship between different digital object metadata modes according to functions or semantics of each metadata element of the digital object metadata modes; and according to the mapping relation and the digital object interface protocol, constructing an interconnection relation of different digital object registry systems.
