Zusammenfassung: | A method of manufacturing an erosion resistant turbine blade includes providing a turbine blade (300) for use with a rotary machine (110 and/or 210). The turbine blade (300) includes an airfoil (302) extending between a root (312) and a tip (316). The airfoil (302) includes a pressure side (308) and an opposing suction side (310), and each of the pressure and suction sides (308, 310) extends between a leading edge (304) and a trailing edge (306). The method further comprises printing the green part (402) by selectively depositing a binder solution (428) across the particulate erosion resistant material (412) by means of an additive manufacturing process; and sintering the green part (402) to produce a sintered erosion shield (326) comprising a dense erosion resistant material. The method also includes coupling the erosion shield (326) to the leading edge (304) of the turbine blade (300).
