The purification method comprises the following steps: immersing a crystallizer into tellurium melt obtained by melting crude tellurium for rotary crystallization; the temperature of the crystallizer is lower than that of the tellurium melt during rotary crystallization. Thinning of a liquid-solid interface solute boundary layer is achieved through interface shearing force generated by tellurium melt rotation, impurities are forcibly removed from the boundary layer, and therefore high-purity tellurium is crystallized; the temperature gradient of a liquid-phase region near a liquid-solid interface is increased through rotation of the crucible, and crystallization is quicker due to increase of the temperature gradient, so that the purification efficiency is improved.
