The friction material is prepared from, by weight, 2.5%-6% of polyvinyl alcohol modified phenolic resin, 3.5%-8% of boron modified phenolic resin, 6%-8% of nitrile rubber, 9%-18% of aluminum silicate fiber, 2%-8% of carbon fiber, 1%-4% of aramid fiber, 3%-8% of inorganic-organic composite modified aluminum oxide, 5%-10% of zirconite, 3%-10% of red copper powder, 2%-5% of iron sulfide, 1%-5% of molybdenum disulfide, 5%-15% of talcum powder, 5%-12% of crystalline flake graphite and 5%-15% of barium sulfate. The grinding aid comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 5-10% of diatomite, 5-10% of zirconium oxide hollow spheres, 1.5-5% of magnesium oxide powder and 2-8% of fluorite.
