Wherein the detection device comprises a combustion detection box, a camera and a recognition device. The detection method comprises the following steps: training a deep network model for identifying that a flame retardant material in an image is in a combustion state, and calculating the combustion time of the flame retardant material in a video by using the model. The model is divided into three units, namely a feature embedding extraction unit, a space correlation structure extraction unit and a decision-making unit.
