The flame-retardant surface coating for the solid rocket engine comprises a component A and a component B, wherein the component A is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 25 to 30 parts of phenyl modified 107 glue, 8 to 10 parts of fumed silica, 15 to 20 parts of flame retardant, 10 to 20 parts of hollow glass beads and 25 to 35 parts of solvent oil; the component B is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 85 to 95 parts of tetraethoxysilane and 5 to 15 parts of a catalyst.
