The process comprises a process of preparing 3-methyl-2-butene-1-aldehyde diisopentenyl acetal through reactive distillation of isopentenol and isopentenal in a reactive distillation tower, and is characterized in that the content of 2-methyl-3-butene-2-ol in liquid phases of third to fifth tower plates counted from bottom to top in the reactive distillation tower is controlled to be less than 1wt%.
