The method comprises the following steps: carrying out reduction reaction on a catalyst and m-oxygen phenyl formaldehyde in a first-stage continuous reaction separator, and automatically and quickly separating an oil layer and a water layer of 3-phenoxy benzyl alcohol obtained after the reaction; and simultaneously introducing the 3-phenoxybenzyl alcohol oil layer and ionized water into a secondary continuous reaction separator for washing separation, and carrying out reduced pressure light component removal and rectification on the washed oil layer to obtain the 3-phenoxybenzyl alcohol.
