MULTI-MODAL MEMORY DEVICE AND SYSTEM

The invention relates to a multi-modal memory device and system. The memory controller and the physical interface layer can accommodate a plurality of memory types. In some examples, the memory controller and/or physical interface layer may include registers that include operating parameters for a plurality of operating modes. Different operating modes may be compatible with different memory types. In some examples, the memory controller and physical interface layer may be included in a system for testing multiple memory types. The system may provide a plurality of interfaces for communicating with the memory.
