The invention relates to a release agent composition for papermaking, an emulsion, and a preparation method and a use method of the release agent composition. The release agent emulsion of the present invention comprises (a) a hydrophobic material; (b) a cationic surface active agent, wherein the cationic surface active agent comprises a quaternary ammonium salt type surface active agent; and (c) a nonionic surfactant, the nonionic surfactant comprising a polyoxyethylene-type nonionic surfactant, where the emulsion is free of anionic surfactants, and where the emulsion has a particle size of about 0.05-1 [mu] m.
