Zusammenfassung: | The present invention discloses a composition consisting of: (1) from about 15% to about 40% by weight of isosorbide monomer repeating units; (2) from about 25% to about 60% by weight of monomer repeat units of a dicarboxylic acid or anhydride, such as succinic acid or anhydride; and (3) a polyester consisting of from about 10% to about 20% by weight of monomeric repeating units of a polyol, such as 1, 3-propylene glycol. In some cases, the polymer may also include monomer repeating units of a methyl nadic anhydride or nadic anhydride. Also disclosed is a polymer composition comprising a polyester and a biodegradable polymer selected from the group consisting of polylactic acid, polyhydroxyalkanoates, and mixtures thereof.
