Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a system for detecting an optical chirp distance by using a square wave digital chirp signal. A light detection and ranging lidar system includes a laser source configured to generate a carrier wave; an equalizer configured to modulate an amplitude of the chirp signal; a modulator configured to modulate a frequency of the carrier wave using the chirp signal; one or more scanning optics configured to generate a transmission signal using the modulated carrier wave, and to transmit the transmission signal; and a processor configured to determine a Doppler shift of the object based on the return signal and the reference signal; wherein the return signal is received from the object in response to the transmit signal.
