Input data is received, where the input data includes data regarding two point cloud representations of two given links of a given virtual kinematic device and data regarding specific joint types associated with the two links. Applying a specific joint descriptor analyzer to the input data; wherein the specific joint descriptor analyzer is modeled with a function trained by an ML algorithm, and the specific joint descriptor analyzer generates output data. Providing output data; wherein the output data includes specific joint descriptor data for determining a mutual movement capability of a specific joint type associated with the two given links. At least one joint in the virtual kinematic device is determined from the output data.
