Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to the technical field of power supplies, in particular to a power supply based on an IGBT device and a power supply method, which are applied to an electromagnet needing to generate a pulse magnetic signal and comprise a power distribution unit, a direct current source, an IGBT power unit, a twisted-pair feeder cable and the electromagnet which are connected in sequence. The control unit is connected with the IGBT power unit and is used for controlling the working state of the IGBT unit; the power distribution unit is used for being connected with commercial power and sending the alternating-current signal with the electromagnetic interference suppressed to a direct-current source; the direct current source is used for converting the alternating current signal into a direct current signal and sending the direct current signal to the IGBT power unit; the IGBT power unit is used for converting a direct current signal output by the direct current source into a pulse electric signal under t
