The method comprises the following steps: establishing a longitudinal model of a heat storage layer of a to-be-evaluated area comprising one or more drilled wells; establishing a transverse model of the thermal reservoir of the to-be-evaluated region by relying on regional deposition cognition; fitting a thermal storage temperature field on the longitudinal model according to the formation test temperature in combination with a lithologic longitudinal rule; dividing the transverse model into a plurality of calculation units, determining the heat storage thickness and the heat storage temperature of each calculation unit according to the longitudinal model and the fitted heat storage temperature field, and calculating the heat storage resource quantity of each calculation unit based on the determined heat storage thickness and the heat storage temperature of each calculation unit, and summarizing the heat storage resource qu
