The monitoring system comprises a wagon balance, a belt weigher, a three-dimensional laser scanner and a data collecting and processing device. The wagon balance is arranged at a discharge port of the vertical shaft and is used for metering the quantity of ores discharged into the vertical shaft by each wagon; the belt weigher is arranged on the downward conveying belt and is used for metering the ore removal amount of the vertical shaft; the three-dimensional laser scanner is used for scanning the initial state of the vertical shaft and measuring the volume and depth of the vertical shaft in the empty state; the data collecting and processing device is used for collecting and processing initial data of the belt weigher, initial data of the vertical shaft and data of the wagon balance and outputting material level data of the vertical shaft.
