The method comprises the steps of reading a battery charging and discharging instruction state of the energy storage system; determining a real-time state of the battery based on the battery charging and discharging instruction state; based on the real-time state of the battery, determining whether the residual capacity of the battery is lower than a low-power preset threshold; and if the residual capacity of the battery is lower than the low-electric-quantity preset threshold value, performing low-electric-quantity logic threshold value protection control management on the battery of the energy storage system.
