The invention discloses a rapidly crystallized PET (polyethylene terephthalate) resin composition for engineering plastics as well as a preparation method and application of the rapidly crystallized PET resin composition. The PET resin composition comprises the following components in parts by weight: 98-102 parts of PET, 0.5-1.8 parts of a nucleating agent and 2-5 parts of hydrogel, the nucleating agent is a metal salt nucleating agent, the average particle size D50 of the hydrogel is 29-48 [mu] m, and the water content of the hydrogel is 42%-68%.
