The invention provides a method for performing decryption and integrity verification on data and a communication device, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining to-be-decrypted data, the to-be-decrypted data comprising at least one fragment sequence, one fragment sequence corresponding to one PDCP PDU, each fragment sequence comprising at least one fragment data, and one fragment data corresponding to one fragment descriptor; decrypting the fragmented data by using a decryption engine according to the fragmented descriptors corresponding to the fragmented data; and carrying out integrity verification on the decrypted fragmented data by utilizing an integrity verification engine.
