Workload-aware virtual processing unit

A processing unit [100] is configured in a different manner based on the identified workload [200, 225], and each configuration of the processing unit is presented to software as a different virtual processing unit [111.112] (e.g., to a device driver [103]). Using these techniques, a processing system can provide different configurations of the processing unit to support different types of workloads, saving system resources.
