The invention discloses a method for detecting the content of dipiperidine sebacate in PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate). Comprising the following steps: preparing standard working solutions with a series of concentrations, preparing a sample test solution, and detecting the content of dipiperidine sebacate in the sample solution by adopting a gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method, the sample pretreatment and sample solution preparation comprises the following steps: dissolving a sample by using a dissolving solvent, adding a main precipitant for precipitation, adding an auxiliary precipitant for precipitation, filtering, drying, and re-dissolving. Most of high-molecular-weight polymers are removed through the main precipitant and the auxiliary precipitant, target objects are not affected, pollution of a chromatography-mass spectrometry system is reduced, meanwhile, matrix effect influences are reduced, the detection limit is further reduced by 1-2 orders of magnitude, and higher accuracy and sensit
