Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to the technical field of gene engineering, in particular to application of a cell nucleic acid binding protein CNBP and a coding gene thereof in regulation and control of plant salt tolerance. The research finds that the cell nucleic acid binding protein CNBP or the coding gene thereof can be used for regulating the salt tolerance of the plant, the mutant of the nannochloropsis oculata CNBP gene and the mutant of the CNBP gene of the arabidopsis thaliana Columbia type col-0, which are obtained through CRISPR/Cas9 gene knockout, show significantly improved salt tolerance, and can be used for regulating the salt tolerance of the plant. Species universality and application prospects for improving salt tolerance by controlling the gene are disclosed, and an important solution is provided for genetic improvement of plant germplasm resources.
