Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a device and a method for characterizing fluorescently-labeled particles in a solution by analyzing changes in the fluorescence spectrum of the fluorescently-labeled particles. In particular, a sample of the fluorescently labeled particles is analyzed by fluorescence excitation under different conditions/environments, and the corresponding fluorescence emissions are measured. The particles are characterized by analyzing fluorescence emissions measured under different conditions/environments.
