According to the gust front identification method, a gust front motion state model is established according to a gust front detection result obtained by continuous twice scanning of a to-be-identified gust front outside a detection range of a wind measurement laser radar by a Doppler weather radar; then, according to the gust front motion state model, determining gust front characteristic parameters when the gust front to be identified enters the detection range of the wind measurement laser radar, and according to the gust front characteristic parameters and radial speed data observed by the wind measurement laser radar in real time, obtaining a gust front detection result of the wind measurement laser radar; and the gust front detection results of the two radars are fused to obtain a final identification result.
