Zusammenfassung: | Devices and methods for delivering fluid to tissue during ablation therapy are described herein. An example device can include an elongate body having an internal cavity, an outlet port, and an ablation element configured to heat tissue. The flow resistance of the elongated body can increase in a proximal-to-distal direction along a length of the elongated body containing the outlet port. This can be achieved, for example, by varying the size or relative spacing of the outlet ports, reducing the cross-sectional area of the inner cavity through which fluid can flow, or limiting the ratio between the total area of the outlet ports and the cross-sectional area of the inner cavity, by using a flow diverter or tapering the inner cavity sidewalls. Adjusting the flow resistance of the elongate body can provide a more uniform fluid distribution or a desired non-uniform distribution.
