Automatic white balance (AWB) for camera systems

This document describes techniques and apparatus for automatic white balance of camera systems. The techniques and devices utilize a precursor image to detect one or more detected faces and determine a hue. The camera system acquires hue data based on a set of images determined to include the same face as the detected face. Based on the hue data, a difference in white balance is determined based on a difference in the hue of the detected face within the precursor image from the associated hue data.
