The method comprises the steps of obtaining vehicle operation data, performing validity verification on each signal in the vehicle operation data, and determining whether each signal in the vehicle operation data is valid or not; under the condition that each signal in the vehicle operation data is determined to be effective, a control strategy for tail end protection of the power-assisted steering motor is determined based on the steering wheel angle value; based on the control strategy, a power-assisted steering motor is controlled; under the condition that signal failure exists in the vehicle operation data, a mechanical dead center angle value is obtained; and under the condition that the steering angle value of the steering wheel is not smaller than the mechanical dead center angle value, pressure relief operation of the stroke unloading valve is conducted.
