Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to an artificial polymer comprising a synthetic component (A) covalently bonded to a natural component (B) wherein the natural component comprises an oligosaccharide or polysaccharide and wherein the end group of the oligosaccharide or polysaccharide when in the open chain form is substantially free of aldehyde functional groups. The present disclosure also relates to an artificial polymer comprising a synthetic component (A) covalently bonded to a natural component (B) wherein the natural component comprises a narrow oligosaccharide distribution prepared by enzymatic degradation of a polysaccharide.
