Zusammenfassung:Systems and methods for manufacturing and inspecting honeycomb structures. A method for examination includes generating a three-dimensional volume file of a honeycomb structure from an X-ray image. The three-dimensional volume file is simplified into a two-dimensional data set. One or more structural features of interest are tracked in the three-dimensional volumetric file by identifying a portion of the structural features in a plurality of the two-dimensional datasets. A geometric contour of the structural feature of interest is derived from data corresponding to the structural feature of interest in the two-dimensional data set. A planar representation of the structural feature of interest is created by extracting data from the three-dimensional volume file according to the geometric profile.
