The TDI technology-based winding cell defect detection system comprises a cell overhang detection platform, a cell pole piece detection platform and a motion platform, a winding battery cell is placed on the upper surface of the motion platform, moves on the motion platform and passes through the battery cell overhang detection platform and the battery cell pole piece detection platform; the battery cell overhang detection platform comprises two micro-focus radiation sources, a first TDI detector and a second TDI detector, and is used for performing defect detection on four overhang detection sections of the winding battery cell; and the battery cell pole piece detection platform comprises a small-focus ray source and a third TDI detector and is used for carrying out defect detection on the pole piece fragments of the winding battery cell.
