The invention provides a cooling fan and an intelligent detection method. The intelligent detection method comprises the steps that the accumulated running time of a wet curtain in the cooling fan is calculated; wherein the accumulated operation time of the wet curtain refers to the accumulated time when the wet curtain is in a wet state after the water tank and the wet curtain are cleaned; a water pump is arranged between the wet curtain and the water tank; when the accumulated operation time is larger than or equal to the preset time value, a water changing warning is given out, and a user is reminded to clean the water tank and the wet curtain; when the accumulated operation time is smaller than a preset time value, water quality detection is conducted on the water tank, and if the water quality meets the cleaning condition, a water changing warning is given out to remind a user to clean the water tank and the wet curtain. According to the cooling fan and the intelligent detection method, the accumulated r
