The invention provides a traction battery pack terminal holding system and holding method. A battery pack terminal retention system includes a clasp configured to retain tab terminals when the tab terminals are electrically connected together. A battery pack terminal holding method includes: holding terminals together using clasps; and electrically connecting the plurality of terminals together during the holding period.
