Traction battery assembly with multi-piece bus bar module

The present disclosure provides a traction battery assembly with a multi-piece bus bar module. A traction battery includes a battery array having a stack of cells, where a first one of the cells includes a terminal having a protruding portion extending from a body of the cell and a curved portion disposed on a distal end of the protruding portion. The bus bar has a connection portion defining a slot having a pair of first opposing sides and a pair of second opposing sides. The connecting portion also has a pair of flaps, each flap pivotally attached to one of the second opposing sides such that the flaps face each other.
