An apparatus for noise reduction in a valve is disclosed herein. An example valve disclosed herein includes a valve body defining a fluid passage between an inlet and an outlet, a plug, and a cage in the fluid passage. A plug is disposed in the cage. The plug is movable in the cage to control fluid flow through the fluid passage. The cage includes: an inner wall having a first opening; an outer wall having a second opening, the outer wall disposed coaxially around the inner wall; and an insert having a third opening.
