Damping system for injection device

An injection device includes: a drive spring within a housing; a first drive member that transmits drive from the drive spring to a plunger disposed within a medicament container; and a damper disposed concentrically with respect to the first drive member. The damper is longitudinally fixed relative to the shell. The first drive member moves along the longitudinal axis relative to the damper under the influence of the drive spring. The damper is in frictional engagement with a surface of the first drive member during movement of the drive member relative to the damper.
