Zusammenfassung: | Methods and systems for a single wire synchronization interface are described. A timing device including a first buffer may be connected to a line card including a second buffer. The timing device may control the first buffer to periodically output synchronization pulses to the line card at time intervals. For each output of the synchronization pulse, the timing device may switch the first buffer from the first output mode to the first input mode. In a first input mode, a timing device listens for incoming data on a trace. The line card may periodically receive the synchronization pulse at the time interval. For each reception of the synchronization pulse, the line card may switch the second buffer from the second input mode to the second output mode. In a second output mode, the line card may transmit outgoing data on the trace.
