The present invention relates to a reservoir of a molten metal atomizer, the reservoir comprising: i) a tundish comprising: a) a bottom and a side, the bottom and the side substantially defining a central cavity, the bottom of the central cavity comprising a central portion and a peripheral portion; b) at least one discharge zone in the form of a top open recess, located in the side of the tundish and comprising: a bottom positioned at most at the level of the peripheral portion of the bottom of the central cavity; a discharge opening in the bottom; and a shut-off device for the discharge opening; ii) a bell, the edge of which is positioned towards the bottom of the tundish, the bell being substantially centered on the tundish and extending over at least 50% of the bottom of the tundish, the bell comprising a gas injector in an upper section of the bell.
