The invention relates to a system, a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium and a method for sharing memory snapshots. A system may include a memory device, and a processing device operatively coupled with the memory device to perform operations including receiving a data object to be stored on the memory device from a first host application, and associating an object identifier with a physical address range. The operations may further include associating the object identifier with a snapshot identifier to define a snapshot and mapping the physical address range to a corresponding virtual address range of a second host application. The operations may also include, in response to receiving a request from the first host application to write to the data object, recording an entry reflecting a change made to the data object in a change log, and, in response to receiving a request from the first host application to read a portion of the data object, recording an entry reflecting a change made to the data
