The invention relates to a method for reducing the energy demand and/or energy consumption of a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, said vehicle comprising a steering system having at least two wheel steering angle regulators, and a vehicle sensor system, the invention relates to a wheel steering angle controller for individually changing a respective wheel steering angle of a wheel, and a vehicle sensor system for detecting a driving situation, in at least one operating state in which a predefined driving situation is determined by means of the vehicle sensor system, the wheel steering angle controller is configured to individually change the respective wheel steering angle of the wheel, and the vehicle sensor system is configured to detect the driving situation. The power consumption of at least one wheel steering angle regulator is reduced in order to reduce the energy demand and/or energy consumption, in particular in such a way that the power consumption of at least one wheel steering angle regulator
