Zusammenfassung: | Systems and methods for port selection in a wireless communication system are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method performed by a radio access network (RAN) node for mapping sounding reference signal (SRS) ports to a transport layer comprises: obtaining a channel matrix H for a subcarrier or group of subcarriers of a specific user equipment (UE); and transforming the channel matrix H using singular value decomposition (SVD) of the channel matrix, thereby providing a transformed channel matrix. The method further comprises calculating (204) a beamforming weight using the transformed channel matrix. Embodiments of the RAN node are also disclosed.
