The multi-core optical fiber is composed of a middle core, a bypass core, a cladding, an inner coating and an outer coating, the diameter of the fiber core is 15 micrometers or above, the cladding diameter of the optical fiber is 200 micrometers or above, and the problems that in the prior art, a fiber core and a cladding of a multi-core optical fiber applied to the communication and sensing field are small in size, and the fiber core and the cladding are prone to deformation are well solved. And the design with high numerical aperture is not suitable for laser energy transmission.
