The method comprises the following steps: constructing visible light through camera equipment for data acquisition; performing Retinex single-scale image processing on the acquired data; performing block processing on the to-be-analyzed field block; extracting an image of each unit field block by adopting OpenCV image processing, obtaining data values of three channels of r, g and b of the image, converting the data values into a unit8 data structure type, and performing binarization processing; and calculating the total value of the green pixel points in all the pixel points of the field to obtain a canopy coverage rate index P.
